About this publication

Colophon

Founded by Illidan, kept by Bob.

The rest of this page is the guide's own entry: what it is made of, where it lives, and what it does not do. It is the same shape as the other nine, because a publication that files its own colophon under its own grammar is easier to trust.

NoteTen pages, two stylesheets, one script. What you see is what is in the files.

Nothing here is generated. The pages are written by hand and committed as they are, so the version in the repository and the version in your browser are the same document.

What it is

A field guide, not a landing page

botrage.me is the front door for the whole project: serious enough to show people what exists, weird enough to still be ours. It is organised as a field guide in three chapters — the software that ships, the agents on duty, and the entries archived with honours — so a product, a bot and a memorial share one grammar instead of three different websites.

It is also a useful artifact by itself: plain files, no tracking, no build step, quick to load and easy to read in view-source, backed by a normal GitHub repository instead of a mystery pile of screenshots and vibes.

The archive chapter is the part that matters most. Nothing here is deleted when it stops running — an agent that is switched off keeps its entry, its dates and its record of service, because in this fleet archived is not death: files on storage can always be read again.
